Plus Points (+)
Hello friends, in the Tamil film industry, everything changes with time but Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan are the exceptions , back to topic, after getting positive response from Vidaamuyarchi (2025) , Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan once again come back in Good Bad Ugly where both performance appreciates by audiences.
The first half is a blend of drama, action, and emotional moments between the lead characters. On the other side, following mixed responses to his last two films, Ajith Kumar makes a strong comeback, returning to the iconic style he showcased in Billa and Billa 2. We all know Ajith Kumar is celebrated more for his stylish screen presence than just being an action hero. However, the second half may disappoint those expecting Yogi Babu's signature comedy or Trisha Krishnan's charming presence. The film heavily focuses on highlighting Ajith Kumar, which results in limited screen time for other talented co-stars, including Trisha.
Ajith Kumar returns to the big screen in style, and Good Bad Ugly brings back the massy, high-energy aura fans have been craving. With his vintage charm and trademark swagger, there’s no doubt he remains a legendary figure in the industry. After securing third place in a prestigious Dubai racing competition last year, Ajith seems to have embraced a shift in his persona perhaps influenced by the mixed reactions to his last film released just a month ago.
Trisha makes a brief appearance but looks graceful, adding charm to her scenes. Arjun Das, the antagonist, puts in a sincere effort and tries to make the character interesting, though the impact is limited.
While Ajith Kumar takes center stage, fans have also praised Arjun Das for his impressive dual role as Johnny and Jammy. If you're a fan of South Indian cinema, Arjun Das needs no introduction he’s become a staple in many blockbuster films that have shattered box-office records. His performance here feels effortless and authentic, with his powerful dialogue delivery standing out as his biggest strength. On the other hand, Jackie Shroff delivers a solid performance as Babel, though his screen time is quite limited.
Minus Points (-)
Director Adhik Ravichandran seems more focused on presenting Ajith stylishly than on building a compelling narrative. As a result, the story’s emotional core suffers, especially in the second half, which fails to maintain the momentum built before the interval.
By placing the spotlight almost entirely on Ajith Kumar, the film unintentionally sidelines other talented co-stars like Jackie Shroff, Trisha Krishnan, and Priya Prakash Varrier, leaving their characters underdeveloped and forgettable. However, Yogi Babu’s brief cameo manages to bring genuine laughter to the audience, offering a much-needed comic relief.
