Plus Points (+)
Makers of this movie promoted this movie as an India’s first sea adventure film like pirates of the caribbean and other sea adventure horror movies , But In my personal point of view second half of this movie watchable compared to first half.
After getting a positive response from the audience towards Dear (2024), once again GV Prakash comes with a horror genre movie. The majority of fans know him as a music composer and playback singer, but if you're watching the top 10 best Tamil comedy movies in 2024, I bet GV Prakash's movie comes in this list because he is first popular for his music, while the second time he is popular for his comedy.
First half takes audience patience level test , Because First half movie runs in slow pace and lead by dramatic scenes where very few are romantic and emotional scenes which are watchable but very few and short which is little bit disappointing for GV Prakash fans while other side after Cameo appearance in Vijay Sethupathi film Maharaja where she playing Maharaja's wife role , now Divyabharathi appears in lead role in Kingston movie where she playing Divya's role.
If you are a fan of Divyabharathi, I recommend only the first half. The first half primarily focuses on GV Prakash and Divyabharathi's personal moments, like love and romance. In the second half, her screen time and appreciation are much lower compared to the first half.
Minus Points (-)
The first half moves at a sluggish pace, leaving viewers impatiently waiting for the interval. While the second half picks up slightly, the execution lacks depth, preventing the film from delivering the edge-of-the-seat experience it aims for.
The second half is 10 times better than the first, but it comes too late, as the director seems to have only then realized what the audience wants. The makers marketed the movie as India’s first sea adventure film, which was a clever marketing tactic that attracted more viewers. However, due to the lack of substance in the story, audiences lost interest and started scrolling through reels on social media instead.
