Plus Points (+)

Nowadays South Indian heroes are doing something new instead of becoming actors, for example, like Pawan Kalyan and our favorite Vijay Thalapathy, both of whom entered politics, while on the other side, Dhanush, who is popular for Mari 2, entered the director's field. After his directorial debut in Power Paandi (2017), Dhanush gave back-to-back superhit movies as a director, like Raayan 2024 and now Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (2025).

The first half is very engaging for those audiences who like romance and mixtures of comedy & drama because, as a director and actor, Dhanush knows the taste of audiences, while on the other side, the second half comes with some cliched dialogues that we heard from late 90's movies, which is a little bit disappointing for audiences who buy movie tickets or add Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam movie to their wish list.

Believe it or not, you only watch this movie for Dhanush. The majority of people watching the movie where I was are Dhanush fans. In this movie, all the actors are newcomers, and no one knows them yet. So let's first begin with Dhanush as a director. The first half of his hard work reflects in the movie, like he's trying something new with movie dialogues and cast appearances, while the second half looks like his full focus is on movie technical things like music and cast appearances. That's the reason the movie has its core plot and revolving and break-up and patch-up, which is a little bit disappointing for Dhanush fans.

One more thing: if you are in your late 20s, I recommend this movie to you. Because this movie gives you the right perspective to see this world and hides some suspense, like the hero and heroine choosing to love the right person. Does that person love them back at the right time? Do parents choose to accept the love stories of their children and more.

Minus Points (-)

A simple and average storyline and lack of suspense in the ending are the biggest disappointments for the audiences who like romantic movies. The biggest advantage of this movie is Dhanush's image. The first half is decent in terms of romantic movies, but the second half has many cliched dialogues that we heard from the late 90s era.
