Synopsis

After the success of Vaathi (Tamil movie), later Telugu was dubbed with the name of Sir, breaking lots of box office collections in 2023, but this time Venky Atluri comes with Dulquer Salmaan with a solid story that gives you the history of the biggest bank scam in the 1990s in Bombay.
We saw majority movies on Bank scam in past years where scam 1992 is very popular but very few people's know about Baskhar's scam or scam 1990.
If you're interested in those types of movies like scam 1992, The Big Bull, Aankhen, and more, I think Lucky Baskhar is perfect for you, and the best thing about this movie is there is no adult or distributing scenes in film, which means you can watch this movie with your friends and family.
The first half is totally decided to the Baskhar's life, where the movie highlights the day-to-day life of him from office to bank and bank to office. There are very scenes in the film where he is spending time with his family. If I conclude, the first half in one line is how an honest and innocent person chooses an illegal way to make a movie to support his family.
While the second half is very interesting and connected to the scam 1992 webseries, which was released in lockdown (2020), the second half totally revolves around how he joins the Harshad Mehta team and how his greed destroys his and his family's careers.
Dulquer Salmaan, who is mainly popular for romantic movies, now appears in this crime thriller film, where he plays the role of Baskhar Kumar, a bank employee who is very hardworking but still struggling with financial problems. First half he shines with his dialogues and innocent nature, but second half is only for Dulquer Salmaan's true fans, because where his acting and dialogue delivery is next level, his acting level is like a demon with an innocent face.

No doubt Dulquer Salmaan is a good action that did majority hits in the Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi film industries, but problems come in the movie story. It's my personal point of view (POV). Dulquer Salmaan is popular for romantic movies, but in this movie he's in a bank uniform, looking a little bit strange, because we never saw before this type of character. But his acting is next level.
After giving a solid performance in The Greatest of All Time as Srinidhi Sunil, now she appears in Lucky Baskhar as a lead cast and plays the role of Sumathi, a Baskhar's wife. First half makers given her decent time on screen, but second half her appearance is very low and sometimes we forget that she also in this movie due to absence on screen. If makers given her more chance, which is good for film.
