Amaran 2024 Tamil Movies Critique
Plus Points (+)
First of all, I appreciate the makers' hard work behind this film; they make this movie interesting through emotions and action scenes. Because everyone knows that Amaran story, so makers use their creative minds to attract more audiences.
The first half is fast pace and totally revolves around Sivakarthikeyan's character day-to-day life and how he meets to indu and moves forward. You receive an answer to your question, Why are indu's parents against their marriage? And what's her next movie that adds suspense to the film? While the second half is a mixture of action and drama, where emotional scenes mostly of Sai Pallav are dominating and bring tears to your eyes.
We always hear that music is the backbone of the film, but this line is only perfectly suited to a few movies, and Amaran is among them, where GV Prakash’s music and background score do the perfect job of elevating the mood of the film. While CH Sai Cinematographer is better than expected, where he wonderfully captured the beauty of Kashim and our hero's battle sequences in special motion.
The editing skills of R. Kalaivanan are excellent, but the problem comes at a slow pace, mostly in the second half. Siva Karthikeyan, as Major Mukundan, shines in the first half of his Passion about Army while he looks handsome in Army inform and fit body or the way he handles the troops. Siva Karthikeyan suits the character solidly.
While Sai Pallavi as indu is the backbone of the movie, her performance adds emotional value in the movie. If I conclude both characters hero and heroine in one line, Siva Karthikeyan's character represents IQ (intelligence quotient)) like how to deal with terrorists in Kashmir. But Sai Pallavi's character represents EQ (emotional quotient). Her perfect example is when she hears that her husband died in a battle in Kashmir. This scene brings tears to your eyes.
Minus Points (-)
If you remove Sai Pallavi's character from the movie, it looks like a dead body without a soul. Because we saw many movies on patriotism in the past where action and drama were fully available but lacked emotional depth. This is the same case with Amaran, but this movie is saved by Sai Pallavi's character.
The first half is ok in the teams of drama and romantic scenes between the lead cast, where Siva Karthikeyan Plus points are action and romantic scenes while Sai Pallavi Plus points are emotional and dance.
