Synopsis
Mathu Vadalara 2 begins with the HE (High Emergency) team, where Babu and Yesudas are special officers and Nidhi is their senior. They are assigned a kidnapping case, but the climax comes in film when the kidnapping case converts into a murder case where Babu and Yesudas are guilty?. What is the hidden truth of the murder case? Are Babu and Yesudas really guilty, or are they being framed?

When we think about Mathu Vadalara or Mathu Vadalara 2, Bad Boys, Men in Black, 21 Jump Street, and Rush Hour, movies come to mind because their plots are different, but one common thing in those movies is comedy.
Back to topic, the first half is well prepared and combined with comedy and suspense, where director Ritesh Rana's focus is less on the story compared to Sri Simha Koduri and Satya's comedy. He knows that audiences come to watch only silly jokes and comic moments, not just suspenseful thriller-drama films.
While the second half is totally focused on the story, disclaimer: if you're a logical person, please don't go to watch this movie, or if you're gone, please put your logical mind at home, because in this movie there are many scenes that are completely illogical.
After giving a solid performance as Rahul in Chaari 111, Satya Akkala, aka Satya, now appears in this movie as the lead cast, where he plays Yesudas, a special officer in the HE team. The first half completely revolves around him and Sri Simha Koduri, where the Sri Simha Koduri character gives mixed feelings of comedy, a little bit of seriousness, and drama, but Satya's comedy continues nonstop till the interval. But the second half is disappointing for Satya's comedy fans. Where drama and suspense lead the whole film, not comedy.
As we discussed above, Sri Simha Koduri as a Babu character is given mixed vibes, which is good for the film. Because director Ritesh Rana's intentions are balanced, the film is not totally turned around comedy, while on the other side, Vennela Kishore, who appears in the middle of the film on screen, is outstanding as a Yuva.

The first half is the biggest asset of this film, because in the beginning of the movie Satya and Sri Simha Koduri comics moments grab audience attention and continue till the interval. But due to the makers more focus on story instead of comedy, the secon half is a little bit tedious for the majority of the audience's.
The plot is predictable. While the Vennela Kishore scene shown in the trailer is not even present in the film, makers forget that Vennela Kishore is a comedy actor, not just an agent in this film. If makers wrote a Vennela Kishore character more hilarious, which is good for the film,, because the audience comes to watch comedy and drama, not suspense and thriller.
Technical Aspects
Director Ritesh Rana, who knows for making comedy drama movies, now after the success of Mathu Vadalara, which was released in 2019, has once again come back with its sequel, where the first half is fully organized and filled with comedy, drama, and suspense, which gets a positive response from the audience. But in the second half, he gives more focus on a compelling story, alongside Satya’s comedy, which could have provided a better balance.
Cinematography by Suresh Sarangam, editing by Karthika Srinivas, and music by Kaala Bhairava are all commendable .
Conclusion
If you don't watch Mathu Vadalara 2 First Part, which was released in 2019, you can't understand its sequel story because, as an Marwal universe and Lokesh cinematic universe, Mathu Vadalara and Mathu Vadalara 2 are strongly connected to each other. Where Satya's comedy makes your day.
