Plus Points (+)
Once again, Telugu star Ashwin Babu proves that he has the talent to do multiple genre movies on a minimum budget. After the success of Hidimbha, where he played the role of fearless cop Abhay, now in this Shivam Bhaje film, he plays the role of Chandu as a loan recovery agent.
First, when I watched the Shivam Bhaje movie trailer four days ago, I thought that it was a devotional movie on Lord Shiva like Anji (2004). But after watching this movie, I say that it's not a devotional movie; it's an action and mystery movie where the makers add some adventure and thriller scenes to attract a larger audience.
The first half is slow pace and totally revolves around Ashwin Babu and his day-to-day life like home to office and office to home, but movie pick up speed when Sailaja comes into his life, where Vikas Badisa background music adds romantic taste to the film, But second half is only for those audience's Who loves action and patriotic movies.
Ashwin Babu, who is the lead actor in this movie and plays the role of Chandu, a loan collector agent. His performance in first half is decent, where his comedy and action scenes engage the audience , But in the second half when movie falls into seriousness clouds, some of his dialogue looks artificial, but his acting is noticeable.
Lead actress Digangana Suryavanshi gets full marks in acting and solid dialogue delivery , Arbaaz Khan's performance as a police officer is good, while Hyper Aadhi shines with his comedic timing and supporting cast like Murali Sharma and Tanikella Bharani did the needed.
Minus Points (-)
The director's intention and vision are clear, Where first half runs totally according to his vision, but due to some major changes in the script, the movie lost its core plot and was not able to attract more audiences.
The majority of audiences come to watch this movie, because of its trailer, where makers market it as a devotional movie, but actually it is an action-adventure film
First 35 minutes are very engaging because this type of movie is a combination of comedy, action, and suspense, but after the interval, anyone can predict what's going to happen next.
Technical aspects
As a director, Abdul Apsar Hussain did an awesome job, but as a writer, he disappointed audiences. He did decent work in the first half, but the second half failed to attract viewers .
The background score by Vikas Badisa is good and satisfied, while the other side's cinematography by Dasaradhi Shivendra is excellent in terms of camera quality and VFX. Last but not least, the editing of Chota K. Prasad is good.
