Synopsis
Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is the story of Surya , a LIC agent who has anger issues. Before his mother's death, he made a promise to himself that he would only express his anger on a specific Saturday, but his life completely changed when he met Inspector Daya, who is a ruthless cop who beats people for no reason. Who is Inspector Daya, and why does he harass only people who belong to Sokula Palem? Who is Charulatha, and why is she interested in Surya?

Ghanta Naveen Babu, aka Nani, is known for his natural acting and dancing style. After the back-to-back success of Dasara ( 2023) and Hi Nanna (2024), he now again comes back with an action, suspense-drama movie where he shines with his natural personality.
First half is predictable and revolves around the daily life of Surya as an LIC agent who suffers from anger issues, where Nani's personality perfectly matches Surya's (fictional character), an innocent guy who helps people who don't enough help themselves and fight against injustice.
But the second half is very interesting and a combination of thriller, suspense, and action. In other movies of Nani, he plays the chocolaty boy role, but in this movie he becomes a machine gun who kills everyone who goes against our legal system.
As we discussed about Nani, who is popular for his natural acting and chocolaty boy personality, but in this film he plays the role of Surya, a normal LIC agent who is still single and grows up with minimum friends due to his anger issue.
Nani as Surya gives an outstanding performance as a guy who suppresses his anger throughout the week, only to unleash it on Saturdays. First half his performance is decent as a normal LIC agent, but second half when he and Daya come face to face, one who fights for money greed and one who fights for justice is watchable.
After a solid performance in Raayan and Indian 2 , S. J. Suryah appears in a negative role in this film, where he plays the role of cruel CI Daya, a ruthless cop who harasses people belonging to Sokula Palem. In terms of action, he shines in the second half, where his sarcastic dialogue delivery adds a humorous touch. He is the perfect example of a police guy who misses us of his position and power.
Minus Points (-)
First half totally focused on character introductions and covering the day-to-day life of Surya, which means the first half has nothing to watchable. The second half is strong due to S. J. Suryah's ruthless personality and humorous dialogues.
Priyanka Arul Mohan as Charulatha adds romantic taste to the film, but she has nothing to do more while on the other side, while some characters like Aditi Balan and Abhirami, who become bridges of emotional paths in this movie, appear on screen for a shorter time.
One of the biggest minuses of this film is its duration of 2 hours, where the makers attract the audience through the faces of S. J. Suryah and Nani but can't hold them on a seat for a longer time.
Technical Aspects
Vivek Athreya, who made his debut as a director through Mental Madhilo (2017), a romantic-comedy film, now comes with another action-thriller film where he casts Nani, SJ Suryah, and Priyanka Arul Mohan as lead actors.
Director and writer Vivek Athreya's movie story is interesting, but due to pacing issues, especially in the first half, sometimes it feels like it's only romance, drama, and action films that run on a bullock cart.
Murali G. Cinematography gets full marks, but Karthika Srinivas editing could have been better. While the other side's Jakes Bejoy music is decent.
