Plus Points (+)

After receiving positive feedback from the audience, Director Ajay R. Gnanamuthu once again comes back with the Demonte Colony sequel, Demonte Colony 2: Vengeance of the Unholy, where Hareesh Kannan’s cinematography and Kumaresh D’s editing play a wonderful role.

Makers smartly connected Demonte Colony (2015) and its sequel; audiences who didn't watch the first part can't understand the second one. Demonte Colony includes those horror movies that entertain audiences's through their story, not through their cast or director's popularity.

The first half has a fast pace and mixtures of several stories, like the horrible past of Demonte Colony and the mystery of Samuel Richard overall. When I watched this movie with my friends, I suddenly remembered the Aranmanai 4 movie. Because some scenes of this movie match Aranmanai 4, like Saravanan (Sundar. C) finding the cause of his sister Shivani (Tamannaah Bhatia), was her death a suicide or murder

The major difference between Demonte Colony 2 and other Tamil horror movies is seriousness. We saw many popular horror movies in the past that were a mixture of comedy and drama, but Demonte Colony 2 is a horror-drama movie where comedy does not exist.

While the second half is slow pace and a combination of action-horror scenes and thrillers, if makers trimmed some scenes in the second hour, which is better for film To simplify, we can say that Demonte Colony is the Indian Conjuring 3, where drama, thriller, and horror lead the movie.

The story of Demonte Colony 2 is unpredictable, and the execution of the movie story on paper in real life is good without any single mistake, while the dialogue and cast performance are decent.
Priya Bhavani Shankar, who previously faced criticism for her performance in Indian 2, now appears in the lead cast of this film, where she plays the role of Debbie, a hapless woman who lost her husband and didn't know the cause of death.

Where her performance is wonderful and remarkable, we can say that Demonte Colony 2 is the female-dominating movie because she carries the whole movie on her shoulder.
Arulnithi, who is popular for Demonte Colony (2015), now once again appears in its sequel, where he plays the double roles " Srini" and "Raghu." After Priya Bhavani Shankar, his performance is watchable.

Minus Points (-)

The first half is well designed and runs in interesting ways where all emotions run in a balanced path. But due to the slow pace and confusing story without logic, some audience members feel a little bit uncomfortable.

Director Ajay R. Gnanamuthu fails to give a taste of horror to his audience like Hollywood horror-thriller movies do. He tries his best, but due to average VFX and a confusing story, he puts his hands up.

Technical Aspects

After the failure of "Cobra," director Ajay R. Gnanamuthu comes back with Demonte Colony 2. I appreciate his ability to make this type of movie which entertain audiences through pure horror and an interesting story where the screenplay is well-structured and engaging.

Hareesh Kannan’s cinematography is next, especially in the second half, where he captured small to small details of the cast's facial expressions and how they feel. That's time. On the other side, Kumaresh D’s editing gets full marks if he trimmed some scenes in the second half, which is better for the film and the audience both.
