Synopsis

First, I appreciate Director Vinayak Vaithianathan and his team for making this type of movie, which is a combination of drama, romance, and comedy. It reminds you of "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi," a Hindi movie with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles.
Forced arranged marriage is a common premise, but Vijay Antony and Mrinalini Ravi's performances attract the audience's attention. On the other side, Barath Dhanasekar's music plays an important role in making the movie more lovable for the audience.
"Romeo" gives off a bit of the vibe of 90s and 2000s films, where the center of attraction is arranged marriages, and the whole movie revolves around family drama and comedy, with the groom supporting his wife to achieve her goals.
The first half is very interesting, a combination of drama and comedy, where Yogi Babu plays an important role in adding humorous taste to the movie. On the other hand, in the second half, you feel that the movie loses its core plot, and the storytelling might be rather sluggish at times.
Regarding the cast's performance, Vijay Antony is a popular actor in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. He has delivered outstanding performances in many popular South Indian movies, and in "Romeo," his performance as Arivu is wonderful. He is the perfect example of a caring husband who supports his wife's dreams after marriage.
On the other hand, Mrinalini Ravi plays the rebellious Leela with flair, announcing her presence in style.

As we know, every movie has both positive and negative points. So, let's talk about the movie's negative aspects or where it falls short.
The first half is very interesting compared to the second one, because the first half has no emotional drama and emotional scenes. If Director Vinayak Vaithianathan removed some unnecessary dramatic scenes from the second half, it would be better for the movie according to the audience's perspective.
Yogi Babu is the most popular comedian in the Tamil and Telugu film industries, but in this movie, his comedy doesn't work as expected.
